Halfway Through 2026: A 30-Minute Mid-Year Reset for Your Clinic or Wellbeing Business

Blink and it’s June. We’re officially halfway through 2026 — which means the goals you scribbled down in January are either humming along nicely or quietly gathering dust. Either way, now is a brilliant time to stop, take a breath and check you’re still pointing in the right direction.

The good news? You don’t need a away-day or a 40-tab spreadsheet. Half an hour and a cup of tea will do it. Here’s a simple mid-year reset you can run today.

Minutes 1–10: Look back honestly

Grab whatever goals or intentions you set at the start of the year and ask yourself three quick questions:

  • What’s gone well? Give yourself proper credit — we’re terrible at this.
  • What’s stalled? Not to beat yourself up, just to notice.
  • What’s changed? The plan you made in January was for a version of your business that may no longer exist.

You’re not marking your own homework here. You’re just getting an honest snapshot before you decide what’s next.

Minutes 11–20: Check the numbers that matter

You don’t need to be an accountant to keep an eye on a handful of figures. For a clinic or wellbeing practice, a quick glance at these will tell you most of what you need to know:

  • Revenue so far vs. where you hoped to be. Ahead, behind or bang on?
  • Your busiest and quietest months. Spotting the pattern helps you plan cover and promotions.
  • Repeat vs. new clients. A healthy practice usually leans on returning faces.
  • Your average booking value. Small tweaks here move the needle more than chasing endless new clients.

If pulling these numbers together feels like a faff, that’s a sign your reporting could be tidier — more on that in a moment.

Minutes 21–30: Pick three things for the next six months

Here’s the trap: looking back makes us want to fix everything at once. Don’t. Pick three priorities for the rest of the year — no more. Three things you can actually keep on top of beat ten you’ll abandon by August.

They might be something to grow (a new treatment, more reviews, a waiting list), something to fix (that clunky booking system, the inbox that never empties), and something to protect (your days off, your evenings, your sanity). One of each is a lovely balance.

The honest bit

Most mid-year resets fail for one reason: the owner sets good intentions, then gets swallowed by the day-to-day again within a week. The admin, the follow-ups, the chasing — it all piles back up, and the plan goes out the window.

That’s usually not a willpower problem. It’s a capacity problem. When you’re the one doing the treatments and running the business, something has to give — and it’s almost always the strategic stuff that quietly slips.

This is exactly where a bit of support pays for itself. Hand over the recurring admin — the bookings, the reminders, the reporting, the inbox — and suddenly those three priorities have room to actually happen.

If your mid-year reset keeps landing on “I just need more hours in the day,” let’s talk. I help health, aesthetics and wellbeing business owners get the behind-the-scenes work off their plate so the second half of the year feels lighter than the first. Drop me a message and we’ll work out where to start.
